- La Shaundra Ruby, RDH is the Director of Clinical Excellence for Smile America Partners, where she leads multi state team development, performance growth, and clinical operations. With a strong foundation in nonprofit and corporate dentistry, she focuses on helping hygienists and clinical teams grow into confident and empowered leaders by bridging the gap between field needs and organizational goals.
Niche Sanderson, Director of Hygiene, Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry
- I serve as the Director of Hygiene for Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in NC, SC, and
VA. With more than two decades of experience in dentistry, I began my career as a dental
assistant before becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist and then advancing into clinical
leadership roles. I focus on advancing preventive and proactive care models by developing
hygiene teams, improving clinical workflows, and implementing data-driven systems that
support both patient health and practice performance. I work closely with dentists, office
leaders, and hygienists across multiple locations to strengthen preventive care delivery
and elevate the role of dental hygiene in modern dental practices. I am passionate about
empowering clinicians, improving patient education, and shaping the future of preventive
oral healthcare.
Tammy Filipiak, VP of Hygiene Support / Clinical Operations, Smile Brands
- A dental hygienist with 38 years of experience within general and specialty practice, as well as educational and management settings, Filipiak has been in a DSO Clinical Leadership role for the past 21 years and is currently the Vice President of Hygiene Support/Clinical Operations for Smile Brands. She is a strategic partner within the organization to support execution of organizational initiatives in support of 600+ offices in 30+ states.
- She has served on several corporate advisory boards as a key opinion leader, on the advisory board for a dental hygiene education program in WI and served on the Board of Directors for North Central WI Area Health Education Centers, she is a Founding Professional Leader Member with the Women in DSO organization. She has written/presented numerous articles and continuing education courses throughout her career both in the US and internationally. In addition to her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Quality.
